On day three we had a reservation to go to the Piiholo Ranch Zipline at 10:00 a.m. We were there to check in, weigh in, and suit up at 9:30. We zipped five different lines that covered over a valley with water pools under as well. It was a cattle farm owned by the Baldwins for many years. They had owned much more land and a half of the sugar cane production factory at one point, but had ended up selling it. The sugar cane factory looks very old, but is still functional..OK sorry, so back to the zip line. We had a great time! Here is the website to check out if you want to see what it looks like going over the lines.
Nima and Jennifer have the pictures of Bryon and I actually on the line. I have to get those from them later, but here are some of the ones I took.
After the Zip Lines, went to the town of Paia and ate lunch and walked around the stores. Many of the things they sell here at imported, which makes sense because all they have are sugar cane fields aournd. They also grow pineapples as their staple crop. It takes 18 months for a pineapple to mature. That is a long time! We ate at a place called Milagros and I ate the Pesta Magic sandwich (turkey, pesto, swiss, tomato, sunflower sprouts) and Bryon had the house burrito. It was very good, a lot of food, but not expensive. They had extended their happy hour from 11:00-9:00 because of the economic conditons. Lucky for us! :0) We drank 3 dollar margaritas!
Then we drove back to the area of Wailea and hung out with some people who were filtering in for the Federated portion of the trip. We ate dinner at a Cheesburger place (the only resaurant open after 9:00. In bed by 11:00.

The Zip Line looked wild...I would have been right there doing it with you.
Now you should be ready to jump out of a plane.
