Well the house is moving along, after a slow start. It took a few weeks to get the concrete poured, but now that they have that in we are ready to go! They ave framed up most of the new part of the house at this point, and Bryon and I am are wlaking around making sure everythig is looking like we want it to. There have been a few things here and there we want to change, but for the most part everything has been great!! Here are some photos of the progression up to this point.

St. Patrick's Day 2010

This past weekend Bryon and I went to St Pat's in Five Points. We met Josh and Heather out there and heard Josh's brothers band for the first time. The name of the band is The Movement. We had a lot of fun! We then went to Margaret's fourth birthday party at their lake house rental. The other pictures were taken at school today! Happy St. Patrick's Day and I hope you have the luck of the Irish with ya today!

Framing Up

They have been working at the house to frame up for the cement pour. They did most of the work today, but will be finishing it up tomorrow. It looks great and we are soo excited! It is getting closer and closer to the final project. The back two trees have been taken out at this point, and the new septic has been installed.

Tearing out the Chimney

This weekend our goal was to tear out the chimney that is on the inside of the house. We had to box up everything upstairs and move it to the recently cleaned up downstairs. We were thinking we were going to be able tp store everything in the house, but now are unsure. We may have to look into renting a pod. Mr. Ronnie, Mrs. Twilla, Mom, and Dad all come over to help us. What a dirty job! There was a continuous cloud of orange dust coming out of every window of the house all afternoon. We were throwing things out of the hole in the roof, through windows, and taking bricks and dirt out by the buckets and wheelbarrows full. We had masks on and goggles. I just knew I was going to be so stopped up but I was not too bad surprisingly. Here is the progress to report as pictured in the photos above. We still have to do half of the downstairs to the ground level. At least another days work....
